Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Sim Hosts (“we”, “us”, or “our”), available at simhosts.com. Sim Hosts provides FTP/FTPS hosting for Out of the Park Baseball (OOTP) online leagues. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Sim Hosts is an independent service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Out of the Park Developments or any of its affiliates. “Out of the Park Baseball” and “OOTP” are trademarks of their respective owners.

Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for all activity that occurs under it. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and the FTP credentials we issue for your leagues. Notify us at support@simhosts.com if you believe your account or league credentials have been compromised; you can also rotate your league credentials yourself at any time from your league’s configuration page.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the service. If you create a league on behalf of an organization or league group, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for it.

The service

A subscription provisions one or more isolated league environments. Each league receives an FTP/FTPS account on port 21, a pre-created directory structure (/leaguefile, /exports, and /reports/html), a subdomain at {slug}.simhosts.com, a public league page at simhosts.com/l/{slug}, and nightly off-site backups.

OOTP connects over plain FTP and FTPS only. Because OOTP’s manager-side screens do not offer a TLS option, our servers accept both plain FTP and FTPS so that managers can transfer files. You acknowledge that traffic sent over plain FTP is not encrypted in transit and should be treated accordingly.

Plans, billing, and cancellation

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. Current plans are Starter ($5/month, 1 league, 5 GB), Pro ($10/month, 3 leagues, 15 GB), and League+ ($20/month, up to 999 leagues, 50 GB). There is no free tier and no free trial.

You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; your leagues remain active until then. Payments already made are non-refundable except where required by law, though we will consider reasonable refund requests sent to support@simhosts.com.

We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice to the email on your account. Continued use after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance.

Storage limits

Each plan includes a storage allowance. If a league exceeds its allowance, we will notify you and ask you to reduce usage or upgrade. If usage remains over the limit after a reasonable period, we may pause uploads or suspend the affected league. We will not delete your league data without notice.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

• Store or distribute unlawful, infringing, or malicious content.
• Distribute copyrighted material you do not have the right to share, including game installers or other software.
• Use the hosting as general-purpose file storage or a content delivery network unrelated to an OOTP league.
• Attempt to access another league’s environment, files, or credentials.
• Probe, scan, or attempt to breach the security of our infrastructure.
• Resell or sublicense the service without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, and we will tell you why when we do.

Your content

You retain ownership of the league files, reports, and other content you upload. You grant us only the permissions needed to operate the service: to store, transmit, back up, and serve that content, including rendering your uploaded OOTP reports on your league’s public page.

League pages at simhosts.com/l/{slug} are publicly accessible by design so that league members can view standings and news without an account. Do not upload anything to your reports directory that you do not want to be publicly visible.

Availability and backups

We work to keep the service available and run nightly off-site backups, but we do not offer a formal uptime guarantee or service credits. The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We recommend keeping your own local copies of your league files; OOTP stores a full copy of the league on the commissioner’s computer, which is your best safeguard.

Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your leagues at any time. We may suspend or terminate the service for violations of these Terms, non-payment, or where required by law. After termination we remove league environments and credentials; backups age out on their normal retention schedule, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data or lost profits.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, in which case they apply to the maximum extent permitted.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
