Sim Hosts (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates simhosts.com, a hosting platform for Out of the Park Baseball (OOTP) online leagues. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Sim Hosts you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

• Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and name. If you sign in with Google or Discord, we receive your basic profile information (name, email address, and avatar) from that provider. We do not receive your Google or Discord password.
• Payment information. Subscription billing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your full card details on our servers; Stripe processes and stores payment data under its own privacy policy. We retain a Stripe customer identifier and your subscription status.
• League and file data. To host your league we store league metadata (name, settings, OOTP version) and the files you upload to your SFTP account, including league files, exports, and generated reports.
• Usage and technical data. We log basic technical information such as IP address, request timestamps, and storage usage to operate and secure the service.

How We Use Your Information

• To create and operate your account and league hosting.
• To provision SFTP access and serve your league reports.
• To process subscription payments and manage billing.
• To back up your league data and protect against data loss.
• To communicate with you about your account and service updates.
• To secure the platform and prevent abuse.

Third-Party Services

We rely on the following service providers to operate Sim Hosts:

• Supabase — authentication and database storage.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Vercel and Railway — application hosting.
• Cloudflare — DNS and content delivery.
• Backblaze B2 — encrypted backups of your league data.
• Google and Discord — optional sign-in providers.

Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy. We share only the information necessary for these services to function.

Data Retention

We retain your account and league data for as long as your account is active. If you delete a league or close your account, we remove the associated SFTP access and league files, though backups may persist for a limited period before being purged. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Contact).

Your Rights

You may access, correct, or delete your personal information, and you may export your league files at any time via SFTP. To exercise these rights or ask questions, contact us using the details below.

Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (SFTP and HTTPS), isolated per-league storage, hashed credentials, and encrypted off-site backups. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Children’s Privacy

Sim Hosts is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above when we do, and significant changes will be communicated through the service.
